Everyone remembers their first published work.

The tagline "A Home to Celebrate" had been used for previous campaigns for Johnston, and I didn't want to stray from that message. But I needed original and eye-catching headlines for a 3 page spread in Columbia Business Times.

Ad-itorials are the new articles.

This time published in Gallon Magazine, I wrote three articles about Johnston Paint & Decorating, their bright future, and their painted past.

The sell in these articles couldn't hit you in the face. We are still talking to Diane Keaton here. The articles highlighted the benefits of Johnston's services, but were written to allure potential customers rather than shouting "buy, buy, buy!"
